I think it is safe to assume that Va Tech has dominated recruiting around here, and particularly one town down in Scott County.
Travis Turner went to VT, not UT.
A couple more you can add...Seth Askins from Clintwood was a walk on at UVA and Greg Tester from Hurley was a walk on at Miami.
Tom Turner also went to VT. Clintwood's former coach, Bob Meade, went to ETSU as well and was an All-American.
The roster on Carson-Newman's page hasn't been updated in awhile. GC has 5 players down there, and Beasley's the only one listed.
Also, Matt McGlothlin from Richlands recently received a scholarship as a senior at UT. He had a little trouble there a couple years ago, but has worked hard and earned everything he's received.
Right now, he's said to be the starter for Cal. Fulmer said he's a real big, tough guy. I don't think he'll stay at the starting position for long though. He lacks any real explosiveness.
